Plume at a glance.
Plume is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 focused on real-world asset finance, letting issuers tokenize assets such as credit, commodities, and funds and use them across on-chain applications. The Plume Genesis mainnet went live in June 2025, and the network is built on the Arbitrum Nitro technology stack with Celestia for data availability. Here is how it works and what it is used for, not the price.

How Plume works.
Plume uses a two-tier model called Proof of Representation that ties network security to the validators that stake assets to take part. Validators can be penalized through slashing if they act dishonestly, which is intended to keep real-world data and on-chain records accurate. The chain runs on the Arbitrum Nitro stack and uses Celestia as its data availability layer to keep transaction costs low.

Real-world asset focus
Plume is purpose-built for tokenizing real-world assets, such as private credit, commodities, and funds, so they can be issued and used inside on-chain applications rather than held off-chain.
EVM compatibility
Plume runs the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so contracts written for Ethereum and other EVM chains can be deployed on Plume with little or no change, and standard wallets and tools work.
PLUME token
PLUME is the native token. It is used to pay transaction fees, to stake for network security, for governance, and as collateral within the ecosystem.
Compliance tooling
Plume provides identity and compliance features aimed at asset issuers, so tokenized products can be offered under the rules that apply to regulated assets.
What Plume is used for.
The ecosystem centers on tokenized real-world assets and the lending, trading, and asset-management applications built around them.
Real-world asset tokenization
Issuers tokenize assets such as credit, commodities, and funds on Plume, with identity and compliance handled at the protocol level.
On-chain finance
Tokenized assets can be used as collateral and traded across lending and trading applications deployed on the network.
Staking and governance
PLUME holders stake to help secure the network and can take part in governance decisions about how the chain changes over time.
