The stablecoin operates on the XRP Ledger and on Ethereum, allowing it to move across more than one network depending on where users need it. Its purpose is to give people a dollar-denominated asset that avoids the price swings common to most cryptocurrencies. Like other fiat-backed stablecoins, its usefulness depends on the strength and transparency of its reserves. You can follow the RLUSD price and hold it in a self-custody wallet.
