Overview

Pharos at a glance.

Pharos is a Layer 1 blockchain aimed at real-world asset tokenization and finance that stays EVM compatible while running execution and state processing in overlapping pipelines, with the PROS token used for fees, staking, and governance. Here is how it works and what it is used for, not the price.

How it works

How Pharos works.

Pharos uses a Proof of Stake design based on asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus, where staked validators agree on transaction ordering and tolerate faulty or malicious participants. The execution engine runs ordering, execution, and state finalization in overlapping pipelines for fast confirmation. The private mainnet launched in December 2025 and the public mainnet with the PROS token followed in April 2026.

EVM compatibility

Pharos runs an Ethereum Virtual Machine environment, so developers can deploy existing EVM contracts and use familiar Ethereum tooling.

Pipelined execution

The network runs ordering, execution, and state finalization in overlapping stages so blocks can confirm in under a second.

Special Processing Networks

Pharos supports purpose-built sub-networks for specific financial use cases, such as real-world asset lending or stablecoin issuance, that share the chain security.

PROS token roles

PROS pays transaction fees, is staked to secure the network under Proof of Stake, and is used for governance over protocol decisions.

Ecosystem & usage

What Pharos is used for.

The Pharos ecosystem focuses on real-world asset tokenization and finance applications built on its EVM-compatible base.

DefiLlama

Real-world asset tokenization

Projects issue and manage tokenized real-world assets on an EVM-compatible chain built for that purpose.

DeFi applications

Lending, trading, and stablecoin applications deploy using standard EVM contracts and tooling.

Specialized sub-networks

Teams launch Special Processing Networks for domain-specific financial use cases while sharing the chain security.

What is Pharos Network?
Pharos is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built for real-world asset tokenization and finance. It uses an AsyncBFT Proof of Stake design with a pipelined execution engine, and its native token is PROS.
What consensus does Pharos use?
Pharos uses a Proof of Stake design based on asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus, where staked validators agree on transaction ordering and the execution engine finalizes state in overlapping pipelines.
Is Pharos EVM compatible?
Yes. Pharos runs an Ethereum Virtual Machine environment, so EVM contracts and Ethereum developer tooling can be used on it.
When did Pharos launch?
Pharos launched its private mainnet in December 2025, and its public mainnet with the PROS token followed in April 2026.
Can I hold PROS in the Zypto App?
Not yet. PROS isn't in Zypto App at the moment. You can hold it in any self-custodial wallet, and you can ask us to add Pharos using the "Request Pharos" button above.
