It follows a fiat-backed model, where each token is intended to correspond to dollar reserves held to support the peg, and it has emphasized regular attestations of its backing. TUSD is used for trading, payments, and as a stable unit within crypto, and it is available across multiple networks. Its purpose is to give users a dollar-denominated asset that avoids the volatility of most cryptocurrencies.
