What is Kaspa?
Kaspa is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency that uses a BlockDAG structure rather than a single chain of blocks, allowing blocks to be created very quickly while keeping the security properties associated with proof-of-work. It was fair-launched in 2021 with no pre-mine or pre-sale. The KAS coin is produced through mining and is central to a network that aims for fast confirmations and high throughput while staying decentralized. Its design draws on the security-first ethos associated with Bitcoin. Kaspa is one of the more notable recent proof-of-work projects, prized by supporters for its speed.
